I am an ambitious software engineer with a strong foundation in modern software development. I am currently looking for a position as software engineer. Feel free to take a look at my resume and projects and if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me.
I hope to hear from you!

Perhaps I can spend my future at your company?

I worked with backend development on the "EcoStruxure IT Expert" system. I worked with technologies like Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL and Git. I also wrote my bachelor's project, where I developed a code generation tool that automatically generates JPA artifacts based on existing Cassandra persistence layer code to help with migration from Cassandra to PostgreSQL.

I worked as a student software developer at HR-ON. I contributed to the development and maintenance of the "HR-ON Staff" system, focusing primarily on frontend work, with occasional full-stack tasks. I worked with technologies like React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Git, Linux and more.

I held weekly exercise hours for a class of first-year students in the course: "Statistical Data Analysis". This involved helping students with their assignments, answering questions, and holding short lectures on the course material, when the students encountered particularly difficult subjects.

I am currently studying Software Technology at the University of Southern Denmark. I am learning about software development, databases, algorithms, and much more. I am at my 5th semester and I look forward to applying my knowledge as an engineer in the software industry.

Before finding my passion for software development, I worked as a physiotherapist in Slagelse Kommune. Besides working with patients, I also played a big role in the local implementation of a new digital system for patient records (CURA from Systematic), by instructing my colleagues in the use of the system and by being the local contact person.

I graduated as a physiotherapist from University College Lillebaelt in Odense. I learned about anatomy, physiology, pathology, and much more. I also learned more generally applicable skills, like communication, teamwork and project management.
As a software engineer I am ambitious and quality-conscious, and I have a solid foundation in modern software development that I look forward to building upon. I thrive in both backend and frontend development (with a slight preference for backend), and I have a strong passion for translating complex problems into usable solutions. So far I have explored the following technologies (starred technologies are the ones I have used the most).

Take a look at my projects here (click the GitHub logo to go to the repository).

My team and I developed a software system, that orchestrates a production line by coordinating an AGV, a Warehouse and an Assembly Station. The system is designed to handle production commands, monitor the production status, and provide a user interface for the production manager. We used Java Spring Boot for the backend, and Angular for the frontend. We used an in-memory H2 Database to persist operation logs, blueprints, inventory stock, etc.

My team and I developed a software system that controls a beer machine. The system is designed to handle production commands, monitor the machine's status, and provide a user interface for the machine's operator. We used Java Spring Boot for the backend, and vanilla JavaScript, CSS and HTML for the frontend. The database was implemented using PostgreSQL and was hosted on Supabase. The system was containerized using Docker.

As part of an individual school project, I developed a weather application, that fetches weather data from the OpenWeatherMap API. The application is designed to display the current weather and the hourly weather history for the last 48 hours. The application is built using ReactJS for the frontend and Java Spring Boot for the backend. I have implemented a relational database using PostgreSQL.

For a school project, I developed an Asteroids Game, using a component-based architecture. The game is built using Java and the JavaFX library. The game is designed to be modular, so that any component can be added or removed during run-time. This is achieved by using Java's ServiceLoader and the Service Provider Interface API.

We were tasked with developing a website, where guests can browse video games and read game reviews. Registered users can write reviews and rate games. The website was developed using Laravel, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL. I made an invidual extension to the project, where I implemented input validation and error handling at the user login screen.

As part of a webshop system, my team and I developed the PIM component, using raw Java for the domain layer, JavaFX for the presentation layer, and PostgreSQL for the database.

My team and I developed a game, in which the player must help locals in rural subsaharan Africa by putting up accessible energy sources. The game was part of a school project designed to bring attention to the 17 UN World Goals. We used raw Java for the domain layer and JavaFX for the presentation layer.

A game based on mine sweeper, but instead of flagging mines, you are tasked with avoiding and flagging turds. The game is created with Java and the JavaFX library.

Resume and portfolio website, built using Angular and Tailwind CSS. The website is designed to showcase my projects and skills and provide contact information to recruiters.

As a person I am curious and always striving to learn something new. I am a logical thinker and I enjoy solving problems. I have experience with working both independently and in teams, from my career as a physiotherapist. I have learned good communication skills from my time working with patients and colleagues.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids. I am a huge nerd and I love to play video games, watch movies and read books - especially anything sci-fi or fantasy related. I also enjoy watching football and I am a die-hard Arsenal supporter.
